Die Einsiedlerfestung mit einem sch\u00f6nen Steinturm befindet sich in einer sehr eindrucksvollen Lage am Rande eines sch\u00f6nen Waldes voller Steineichen in einem Gebiet namens Grillanda, etwa 300 Meter \u00fcber dem Meeresspiegel. Da sie nur eine Meile von San Leonardo al Lago entfernt ist, haben viele Historiker sie im Laufe der Zeit verwechselt.<\/p>\n<p>Die Einsiedelei von Lecceto hat einen sch\u00f6nen Turm und, zus\u00e4tzlich zu einer besonderen Vorhalle und einem bemerkenswerten Glockenturm, umfasst zwei Kreuzg\u00e4nge: einen aus dem dreizehnten und einen aus dem f\u00fcnfzehnten Jahrhundert. Erstaunlich ist jedoch die Tatsache, dass eine so ber\u00fchmte Einsiedelei weder einen <strong>offiziellen Gr\u00fcnder<\/strong> noch ein Geburtsjahr hat.<\/p>\n<p>Die Gemeinschaft der Einsiedelei war die erste, die dank der Zustimmung von Prior Bartolomeo da Venezia der neuen Regel des heiligen Augustinus folgte. Das Kloster war von der ersten H\u00e4lfte des Jahres 1200 bis zum Ende des Jahres 1800, der Zeit der napoleonischen Unterdr\u00fcckung, immer von den Augustinerpatres bewohnt. Im Jahr 1972 zog eine weibliche Gemeinschaft von Augustinerinnen dorthin, nachdem sie die Stadt Siena verlassen hatten.
