Sein Territorium wird von <strong>den Fl\u00fcssen Merse und Farma<\/strong> durchquert, die zwei gro\u00dfartige Naturreservate bilden, Orte der Ruhe und des Friedens.<\/p>\n<p>Das <strong>Naturschutzgebiet des Wildbachs Farma<\/strong> liegt zwischen Monticiano und Roccastrada und erstreckt sich \u00fcber 1500 Hektar H\u00fcgel, die von W\u00e4ldern, kleinen Anbaufl\u00e4chen und Weidefl\u00e4chen gepr\u00e4gt sind. Das <strong>Naturschutzgebiet Alto Merse<\/strong> befindet sich zwischen Chiusdino, Monticiano. Beide Gebiete sind von W\u00e4ldern mit uralten B\u00e4umen umgeben und stellen eine gute Alternative f\u00fcr Ausfl\u00fcge, Thermalb\u00e4der und Ausfl\u00fcge au\u00dferhalb der Stadt dar.<\/p>\n<p>Wir sprechen von Thermalb\u00e4dern, denn ganz in der N\u00e4he der beiden oben erw\u00e4hnten Reserven befinden sich die <strong>Terme di Petriolo<\/strong>, deren therapeutische Quellen bei 43\u00b0 flie\u00dfen und reich an Salzen und wohltuenden Eigenschaften sind. Diese Oase des Wohlbefindens wurde schon immer von den ber\u00fchmtesten Familien der Geschichte wie den Medici, Malatesta und Gonzaga hoch gesch\u00e4tzt und besucht.<\/p>\n<p>In der Gegend von Monticiano befindet sich auch der ber\u00fchmte <strong>Kurt Laurenz Metzler Garten<\/strong>, der 1995 gegr\u00fcndet wurde.
