Villa di Sotto is a farmhouse set amidst the magnificent panorama of Chianti Classico
Our wine shop is the ideal spot for savourng the typical "Tuscan merenda", or afternoon snack; here you'll find a welcoming and characteristic ambience with a unique view of the vineyards and olive groves. The wine shop offers a vast array of the most prized wines from the Chianti Classico area and from Tuscany, together with a broad selection of cured meats, cheese, various types of organic sauces, and typical Sienese sweets.
It's all served up with love and enthusiasm by a warm Chianti family.
We also feature gift baskets and packs of gourmet foods matched with that we can ship anywhere in Italy or abroad.
Our wines
The wine bar includes a careful selection of wines typical of Chianti Classico and the entire area around Siena.
The owner Sauro, with a label called VILLA DI SOTTO selected two red wines: a Chianti Classico and a Chianti Classico Riserva and a white wine, with an excellent quality/price ratio.
An IGT red is composed of 80% Sangiovese, 15% Canaiolo and 5% Malvasia/Trebbiano grapes at Euro 6.00.
The other IGT red is 100% Sangiovese grapes and biologically certified at Euro 7.50.
The red Chianti Classico wine with 80% Sangiovese and 20% Canaiolo grapes at Euro 9.50.
The typical white Chianti from Central Etruria (90% Trebbiano and 10% Malvasia grapes) at Euro 7.00.
The Chianti Classico Riserva at Euro 13,50.
All these wines are produced by small family run companies in the area.
The Villa di Sotto wine bar is in the heart of the family olive grove, from which extra virgin olive oil comes and a product which is produced with the love and tradition of times past.
Pressing still takes place like in olden times with stone machines in the olive press in the little ancient district of Villa a Sesta.
The product will be offered to guests in 0.75 L at Euro 10.00.
